What are the quality requirements of fused cast AZS blocks for glass furnace ?

If a glass furnace wants to reach the designed service life or to be free from contamination of the glass solution, it is necessary to have a comprehensive understanding of the appearance quality and internal quality of fused cast AZS blocks , understand the performance of fused cast AZS blocks , and the weak points of fused cast AZS blocks : which parts can have defects and which parts must be perfect. 1. Appearance quality
The corner blocks, weir blocks, bubbling blocks, throat blocks of the sidewall are generally 41# blocks. The assembly gap with the adjacent blocks must be strictly required. The gap will accelerate the scouring of the glass solution on the block  material. The assembly gap is required to be no more than 0.5mm. Shrinkage holes are not allowed at the bottom of the block  material. The block  body is white with yellow. Cracks are not allowed in bubbling and flow hole block s. There are no defects within 300mm of the top of the pool wall. These requirements are very critical. Failure to meet them will affect the service life of the block  material.

2. Internal quality

(2.1) Judging the impurities in the fused cast AZS blocks  from the color of the block , or judging whether the carbon content is high. The block  with high carbon content is blue in color. Such block s are strictly prohibited from use, which will double the service life of the furnace.
(2.2) If there is a blue phenomenon on the surface of the block , there is a high possibility that there are iron inside. The iron come from the partial detachment of the iron braze during the flat material or exhaust during the production process, as well as other factors. Such blocks should also be prohibited from use.
(2.3) The glass phase ratio must be strictly controlled. If the glass phase exceeds the standard, the amount of glass phase precipitation at high temperature will reduce the service life of the furnace and pollute the glass melt.
